Terms & Conditions with Liability Waiver and Photo/Video Release

1. Agreement to Terms By registering for and attending any event offered by Sound and Stage Academy ("Sound and Stage"), you, as a parent or legal guardian of a participating child ("Participant"), acknowledge and agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Participation in any Sound and Stage event is voluntary, and registration signifies full acceptance of these terms.

 

2. Assumption of Risk The Participant’s parent or legal guardian acknowledges that activities involved in Sound and Stage events, including but not limited to performing arts, creative arts, culinary activities, physical movement, and hands-on projects, carry inherent risks. These risks include, but are not limited to, minor injuries such as cuts, bruises, or sprains, as well as more serious injuries that may result from participation. By registering, the parent or guardian assumes all risks associated with the Participant’s involvement in Sound and Stage events.

 

3. Liability Waiver The Parent/Guardian, on behalf of themselves and the Participant, waives, releases, and discharges Sound and Stage, its organizers, instructors, employees, affiliates, and facility owners from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, injury, illness, or death that may occur while participating in a Sound and Stage event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

 

4. Medical Authorization and Emergency Treatment In the event of an accident, injury, or medical emergency involving the Participant, Sound and Stage staff will make reasonable efforts to contact the Parent/Guardian. However, if the Parent/Guardian cannot be reached, they authorize Sound and Stage staff to seek and obtain medical treatment deemed necessary for the Participant’s health and safety. The Parent/Guardian agrees to be financially responsible for any costs incurred as a result of medical treatment.

 

5. Allergy and Dietary Considerations Parents/Guardians are responsible for disclosing any known food allergies, medical conditions, or dietary restrictions at the time of registration. While Sound and Stage will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such needs, it cannot guarantee an allergen-free or risk-free environment. Sound and Stage is not liable for any allergic reactions or adverse effects caused by food consumption, cross-contamination, or exposure to allergens.

 

6. Code of Conduct All Participants are expected to behave respectfully toward instructors, fellow participants, and Sound and Stage property. Sound and Stage reserves the right to dismiss any Participant without refund for disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior.

 

7. Photo and Video Release By registering for a Sound and Stage event, the Parent/Guardian grants permission for the Participant’s image to be photographed or recorded for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes, unless otherwise stated in writing prior to the start of the event.

 

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy Varies Based on Activity

  • For Events (shows, game nights, dances, paint nights, etc…): No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the event date.

  • For Private Lessons: 48+ hrs to reschedule free; illness cancellations within 24 hrs receive 50% credit; no-shows charged in full.

  • For Classes: no refunds are issued for group classes or participation in shows.

  • For Summer Camps: No refunds will be issued within 14 days of the event date.

Sound and Stage reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events due to unforeseen circumstances. If Sound and Stage cancels an event, full refunds will be provided.

9. Payment Policy and Late Fees

Payments for ongoing monthly classes and private lessons are due on the 1st of each month. A 5% late fee for any balances remaining unpaid after the 10th of each month. Please reach out to us if you need assistance paying. 

10. Indemnification The Parent/Guardian agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Sound and Stage, its organizers, instructors, and facility owners from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from the Participant’s actions, participation, or injuries incurred at a Sound and Stage event.

 

11. Governing Law These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the state in which Sound and Stage operates.

 

By completing registration and enrolling the Participant in a Sound and Stage event, the Parent/Guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
