Meet Jessica
Jessica Harned teaches private lessons in both violin and piano, bringing warmth, artistry, and a deep commitment to inclusive, inspiring music education. An exceptional performer and educator, she blends technical mastery with a passion for fostering environments where every student feels valued and empowered.
Her master’s thesis, Classical Queens, exploring the lives of women of color in classical music, has grown into a vibrant platform—spanning a podcast, lecture series, youth programs, collegiate presentations, interactive orchestral performances, and her latest project, Classical Queens: Our Time, commissioned by the Morrison Center and premiered in January 2025.
As a performer, Jessica is a member of the Boise Phil, plays with Boise Baroque, and performs with Mariachi Sol de Acapulco, which received the Governor’s Award for Musical Excellence. She also collaborates with composers, co-creates new works, and champions a culture of equity and artistic growth through CQ Collective Inc., the nonprofit she founded.
